The proposed disqualification is awful for you. Under English law and practice we have the concept of " Force Majeur" ( i.e. your hand was forced). Maybe you could use this with the jury and then , on the basis of this new argument, they can reconsider. You must ( if it is safe) sail on and finish in Les Sables. The sailing world has the greatest respect for your efforts and integrity. My fingers are crossed for you.
